THE WORKSHOPS

Two types of workshops will be offered in 2027, Clowning Master Classes and an introductory class in clowning labeled Clown Craft.

Master Class in Clowning

If you are an experienced performer and wish to take your art to a new level, surrounded by like-minded students of clowning, then this workshop is for you. We will dive down deep into the clown’s essence, working individually on your clown character and the clowns existential question, before moving on the 5 pillars of clowning and solo and partner work.

CLOWN CRAFT

If you want to taste the art of clowning and have fun doing it, then join the fun. We will work individually and with group exercises in a joyful, supportive environment. You will come away with some solid clowning fundamentals and skills.

THE ACADEMY CAMPUS

THE CLOWN ACADEMY lives in a beautiful, renovated old water mill in the Bohemian countryside. With a huge indoor swimming pool and a beautiful private park behind the theatre, it feels more like a retreat than a school. A temple at the end of a 10 meter willow tunnel offers a quiet place for meditation or reflection.

FIRST CLASS ALL THE WAY, nutritious meals are LOVINGLY prepared on the premises and meals, drinks and lodging are included in the workshop price. We want you to feel welcome and well cared for, so that you can fully concentrate on your artistic development. Take time in the evening to make new friends and share this beautiful place with fellow students. The bottom line is, we like people and we want you to enjoy your stay here.
